Kerry Kennard holds a Bachelor of Music degree (Belmont University) and a Master of Music degree in Jazz from the University of Arkansas, Monticello. He has studied at the University of Dayton and the Eastman School of music. Kerry studied the Samba genre (World Percussion) at different Samba schools throughout Salvador and Rio, Brazil. Kerry has performed with Holland America Cruise Line for three years. Headliner acts included Suzi Woods, Elvy Rose, Clem Curtis, and other Artists. Recent Compositions include a Music Placement with HBO in 2019 (performing recorded percussion parts) for engineer Russell Landwehr, entitled “Village Paint.”Regina (Gin) Wills included a drumming piece from SoundCloud (“Native Africans are loose tonight”) in a short film, “Legends of Takawa”, within her company Ageless Entertainment (Released July 2021). Kerry has been performing since 1981 for theatre shows, Pop-rock bands, jazz, R & B, Circus (Great Wallendas), swing bands, American Entertainment Productions show band (One year), and performed with Holland America Cruise Line for three (3) years (Headliner acts included Suzi Woods, Elvy Rose, Clem Curtis, and other Artists). He has performed Musicals at Sinclair Community College, Dare 2 Defy productions, a Columbus High school, and various TN musical productions, jazz bands, as well as Church music in the area. Kerry has been teaching since 2004, both privately and for local studios, offering all styles.
